We work closely with many organisations and charities, including many vets and veterinary acupuncturists; paraprofessionals including chiropractors, hydrotherapists, behaviourists and trainers.
Charities
Medic Detection Dogs – We have been very much involved with the charity from its early days. We ran a dog show in 2010 and raised £756. Becky Harris was awarded the Galen Bursary in 2012 and is currently studying the Diploma course and is looking forward to practicing on the dogs at the charity both the bio-detection dogs and the medical alert dogs.
We also sold our own produced Christmas cards and managed to buy a Power Point projector for the organisation.
P.A.T. Dogs – Pets as Therapy. We donate £1 for every participant who comes on one of our workshops. (Julia’s dog Monty qualified to become a PAT dog but sadly died before he could fulfil his role.)
Sporting Organisations
Canicross Trailrunners – We have worked with this organisation to help develop the fitness within the team, especially when they were doing their Marathon. Help with Cindy of Kisi to develop their harness for running.
This harness has no stress points and nothing on the harness will interfer with the good running of the dog. Also, at the point of pulling, over the sternum, there is good padding. This harness is made for each dog as an individual as each dog has a different ‘pull’ direction depending on the handler – dog combination. This is vital as the stress loading must be correct to avoid injury.
