Our First Galen AGM

Our first AGM was held this year and was an ideal opportunity for us all (or nearly all) to get together, meet up, exchange ideas and to all enjoy our ‘continuing professional development’ CPD’s.

The weekend was packed starting on Friday with a fantastic demonstration by Liz Pope on gait and how conformation effects movement. This took place at our new centre at Bolney West Sussex the home of Galen Natural Progression with the classes being run there.

All the seminars given by Liz Pope to Galen whether it is during the diploma or to the Licensee team are always so popular and we all gain so much helpful and practical knowledge that we can again apply to enhance our treatments.

On Saturday we had the most brain stimuating training by Natalie Page of Page Marketing on marketing, which was incredibly relevant and totally practical for all of us.

Saturday afternoon we were given various educational talks about Showing, Greyhounds and Lisa Le Signe very kindly came in to talk to us about Agility.

The AGM itself was also lively with discussions around many areas but one very exciting announcement was the new professional body we are launching – this should happen in July 2009.

AGM 09 Supper

Saturday evening we all (again nearly) had Supper together!

On Sunday we had a combined  training given by Lezleigh Packer, who not only presented the programme but had also written it!

We left exhausted after a very full and stimulating weekend!

Apologies for absence were received from Louise Johnston, Claire Pennock and Tori Broomhead.
