It was an extremely sad day on 1st May 2010 as ‘Huffo’ died aged 16 1/2, he was one of lifes special dogs that just made everyone around him happy. It is particularly poignant for me, as Huffo was the great inspiration for developing Myotherapy.
He was originally destined to finish his life age 6 months as it was thought he had a degenerative condition that would not repair; the symptons, he could not hold his head up. It transpired he had a muscular neck problem! From that day on I had awful thoughts about other dogs that would suffer the same fate for something as painful but as minor as a neck or back issue.
Huffo lived a healthy and mobile 16 years beyond what we were told and was throughout his life a true gentleman, in fact was known as ‘a true gentlemen of the highest order’. He has left some very sad people missing him terribly but also, I hope, some very much more comfortable dogs able to live out their years in an equally happy and healthy way! Julia.
