Why you decided to take this path of Myotherapy?

I chose to complete the Galen Myotherapy course after months of research. I had seen the amazing positive affects treatments had on my own dogs and wanted to be able to do this for them myself and to be able to fully understand how their bodies worked and the impact sporting activities had on them.

A brief rationale as to why you took on the training that you did

From looking at all the courses available I decided on Galen due to how professional they were and their reputation within the industry. I also met a number of their therapists out at competitions and was always impressed with their knowledge and how they handled my dogs.

Where you are now?

I am still fully employed and am moving my career to be focused on the dogs. I am a qualified agility instructor and would like to combine this and the Galen Myotherapy to help to improve the condition of the sporting dogs, prevent injury and increase the understanding of the handlers of the impact of these activities.

I have enjoyed working with the agility dogs and seeing improvements in their performance; I have seen improvements in the dogs jumping technique as well as their speed around courses.

I compete successfully with 2 of my dogs in agility, the puppy isn’t old enough yet! I have qualified for the Kennel Club agility starters challenge where we won the semi-finals and then competed in the finals at Discover dogs. We also regularly win the DARL rescue dog league and have won the Agility Club League. I have also trained in Rally with one of my dogs but have not yet competed.
