If you are looking to join our diploma course in Canine Massage but do not have the qualifications or knowledge needed to enroll, then this is the course for you. It is designed to take a student with little or no knowledge to a level that will enable them to join the theory section of the diploma course. Alternatively, if you simply want to know more about this subject, the course also stands alone as a useful grounding for any dog owner.

The course is designed to give you a sound knowledge in the basic anatomy and physiology of the dog and like the theory section of the diploma course; it is conducted as a home study or distance learning style course for the student to complete in their own time with email / telephone support from their tutor.

The course is divided into the following units which each have supporting documentation for study, plus advised reading lists.
- Unit 1 – Cells and Skin
- Unit 2 – The Skeletal System and the Muscular System
- Unit 3 – The Circulatory and the Respiratory System
- Unit 4 – The Nervous, Endocrine and Digestive Systems
Students are required to answer, in essay format, the questions at the end of each unit. These are then returned to your tutor and subsequently marked with constructive comments; the next unit is then sent to you and so on.
When all four units have been completed to the required standard (Grade b- or above) the student will be invited to enroll on the theory accredited section of the diploma course.
