All difficulty levels - £95 (includes lunch and refreshments)
This workshop is intended for anyone who is involved
or interested in the performance of their dog and how to improve their heath and longevity.
The performance dog is an athlete and no matter
which form of agility your dog takes part in, from tracking and fly balls to trials and obedience, gun dog or showing activities, when you are performing or training for any event, dynamic warm up and warm down (using exercise) is critical. By further adding massage to this routine it can make a massive positive difference and help to avoid injury.
This one-day workshop is an introduction to how massage can help and it is designed for individuals with little or no experience / knowledge who would like to ensure that their massage techniques are correct.

- Learn the tangible benefits of pre and post event massage both in performance, and preventing post event stiffness
- Understand the problems of metabolic build up in muscles and its affects
Learn how to be more in touch with your dogs health and well being
- Become familiar with basic anatomy and some major muscle groups
- Understand more clearly the positive physiological
and psychological effects massage have on a dog
- Discuss contraindications to massage
- Practice how to use appropriate massage techniques and perform an ‘effective’ pre and post event massage
