First Aid for Dogs

This course is unique by being taught by a leading Veterinary Surgeon Andy Mead BVet Med MRCVS and supported by Julia Robertson. It is accredited by the Laser Learning Awards which gives added value for Continual Professional Development purposes. The aim of this course is to give owners a guide to first aid for dogs and provide practical instruction for treating minor cuts and ailments. It can also give the handler an insight into potentially problematic conditions that need immediate veterinary care and those that can be managed at home.

Laser Learning Accreditation

There is Laser Learning Awards accreditation available on this course for anyone who feels it would benefit them as an individual or as a canine professional, including massage therapists, trainers, groomers and hydro-therapists. A supplementary charge of £55 will be required for this accreditation and an additional 3 hours home study.

The Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 restricts the treatment of an animal by any persons other than a qualified veterinary surgeon, and the Customer acknowledges this. This workshop does not provide customers with any specific qualification to practice on any animal.
