RSPCA (Quainton) Fun Dog Show – Change of Date – Now 30th September 2012

This Event is being held at

BLACKBERRY FARM ANIMAL CENTRE, BLACKGROVE ROAD, QUAINTON, AYLESBURY, BUCKS, HP22 4RJ

Fun for all the family including Fun Dog Show, Rescue Dog Hero Display, Have-a-go Agility, Karate Demo, Bouncy Slide and lots more!!

I will be attending the above show, offering Muscle Balance Assessments for your dogs, as well as plenty of hugs. Do come and say hello.

Come along and support a fabulous charity and bag yourself some great prizes too.

“My George is a very keen Wirehaired Vizsla. He puts every effort into anything he does and is my star agility dog. He is going to be 9 years old in July 2012 and has slowed down abit, in speed, not enthusiasm !! He had to have a malignant mast cell tumor removed which left him stiff in his shoulder. Jackie was put on the case to help him with this. On arriving at the house she immediately put him and the others dogs, who had to spectate, at ease and it was not long before the snoring began in appreciation of his enjoyment and feeling very relaxed. She explained at all times what she was doing and showed me how to continue her good work. He has loosen up and is not as stiff after his agility training. Now to start a new agility season with a happier, if he could be, dog. For those who do agility, look out for the smiling hairy ginger.”

Poppette gains 3rd Place at Crufts

Huge Congratulations to Christine Stratford and Poppette who achieved equal 3rd place at Crufts after narrowly missing out on the final of the Eukanuba Mini Circular Knock-out Agility.

Poppette is a 10 year old terrier cross and Christine has qualified her for this competition on at least two previous occasions, but this is the best result so far!! As I have treated Poppette recently for a strain in her hip, I was delighted to be the one to help Poppette prepare for the big occasion by performing a pre-event massage, coupled with Christine ensuring that Poppette was adequately warmed up using a dynamic warm-up. It certainly made the difference in the ring!! Roll on 2013….going for Gold

Dougal – A Little Bit Accident Prone!

Jackie worked with my reprobate terrier, Dougal, after he had had one of his many clown-moment accidents, resulting in sore shoulders and a stiff action. She was very patient as he wiggled and squirmed around, reading his body language really well.

Dougal clearly responded well to Jackie’s treatment, showing great improvement in muscle relaxation, as well as moving more fluently, enabling his agility and flyball careers to develop well.

Jackie showed me exercises to do to help maintain her work between visits.

The only negative was that once treatments ended as Dougal had improved so much, he could be found waiting at the back gate on a Saturday morning, hoping for Jackie to visit again!

Sun 30th September – Doggy Fun Day, RSPCA centre – Blackberry Farm, Quainton, Nr Aylesbury.

Sat 6th October – Orchard Agility at the Herts County Show, Redbourn, Herts. (I will not have a stand at this show, so please contact me on my mobile if you would like me to look at your dog)
